This week, Year 3 had a special music lesson with ArtForms. They were introduced to some musical vocabulary such as: pitch, ascending and descending. After having a go at singing the Elevator Song, the children had a go at using the chime bars, recognising which bars produced a different pitch. They were great at listening to instructions and playing an ascending and descending tune.

This week we have been looking at our class novel ‘Stone Age Boy’ and had a go at acting out different parts of the text. We also had lots of fun in RE looking at creations and exploring natural objects.

We have had a wonderful first 2 weeks in 3W, settling in to Year 3, collaborating with each other and being introduced to our new topics. I have seen some wonderful handwriting from the children which they demonstrated in sentences about the Colour Monster and more recently, their descriptive dragon riddles.
